The event poster for the short film festival. We thought we'd jam up the idea that King Kong is only in it for the girl. Maybe he just wanted creative control.

It's always fun to see design go further than digital and paper media. Apparel was not originaly included in the scope, but demand for the poster design was higher than expected and we were more than happy to oblige.

Project

Films are all about culture and tradition. They depict it, they perpetuate it, they sometimes even cause it. We wanted to touch on some of that film tradition and culture for the central theme of VISFF 2012 by creating an old hollywood theme for it's brand. Using classic fonts, traditional grid styles and classic film iconography we took a little bit of film history and gave it a fresh spin.
